On Tour: Opening for Jay-Z/Young Jeezy & Trey Songz || 3/12/10 - Long Island, NY

Last Friday I had the chance to open up the Long Island date of The Blueprint III Tour at Nassau Coliseum with Jay-Z, Young Jeezy and Trey Songz.  After moving through thick traffic from NYC, we got to the venue around 5:15 pm.  After unloading we hit the arena and set up for sound check:

I hit the stage at 7:00 and brought it up slow as people came in.  By the time I got off at 7:55 there had to be at least 10,000 people in the arena and it was rockin.
CHECK OUT THE PICTURES HERE

After I did my thing we chilled and watch Jigga rip it down.  This was one of the more commercial tours hes done but he killed it.  After suffering through all radio hits that everyone else liked I almost caused a riot when he did two verses of "Can I Live" (with a live horn section).

RAEKWON: ONLY BUILT FOR CUBAN LINX II (MIX)

Being that it's Friday and we all like Friday's, I have cooked up a 30 minute mix of Raekwon's 'Only Built for Cuban Linx II' for your weekend listening pleasure.  There isn't too much quality new hip-hop out there (save for my man Ethereal Plains & Nite People) so when I heard this album I was inspired to make the mix.  Easy download via right HERE.  This mix is a crispy 192 kpbs and I-Pod/ I-Tunes certified.  Gooooo!
Also, wanted to shout out my man 'The General' Jack Frost in Worcester for letting me get on the set last Friday during his weekly radio show ('Time for Sum Aksion') on Flava 105.5 FM (below).  Be sure to check the show out every Friday night, streaming live from 8:00-11:00 PM by clicking HERE.  He also does a hot throwbacks/classics show every Tuesday from 8:00-11:00 so get with the getdown already....

Is this thing on??

This will be my first official blog post so consider this to be a major moment in modern day technology. In celebration of this here's a link to download a Notorious B.I.G (Juicy Remix) I did. Also, if you didn't get it before here's the quick tribute mix I did to Michael Jackson, and for the ladies check out my Lady Gaga (Just Dance - Bounce Remix). All are IPOD certified.

For the REAL hip-hop fans check out my man Ethereal and Nitepeople's snippet preview of "What Do You Mean You People?" (mixed by this guy).  If you like what you hear go support great local hip-hop out of Worcester, MA and pick up the album here.

I was rocking at Katra in New York City for my monthly gig this past Saturday (9/25). Here's a quick video clip of a Hip-Hop mix. Shout out to Illy, Mr Littlefield and DJ Conn-ection for breezing through.
